Question

Was anyone (I know there are a tonne of you) able to watch the video clip of Krystina doing her dance performance? The copy I have says "private"...so I was just wondering.

It's quiet tonight

Krystina has gone out to a sleepover (birthday party), Teddy's gone to his bf's to rot in front of the computer. Al's home and has worked incredibly hard today...Grandpa's where he always is...on the couch...*grr*. Tone and I are waiting until we have "our space" back and can sit down and watch a movie...can't remember which one it is, off the top of my head....I'll probably be in bed by the time the opening credits are finished.

I just finished downloading a few more songs on my iPod....my one and best escape.

Tony and I went out to a local pub, had a couple of drinks, nachos and wings....was hoping that my favorite "red Thai curry sauce and mussels" was on the menu, but...*sigh*...to no avail. I settled on the wings and nachos.

Anybody want to know a little more about this fabulous product "Kyani"? Just ask me...it's made me feel better....can't wait to see what my blood pressure will be at at my next physical.

"The beast" needs an overhaul...that should be a nasty expense...along with Krystina's teeth, medical and all the other bills. *whine* *bitch* *complain*

My stitches are FINALLY coming out on Monday....hopefully!

My dog just had a "stare down" with me...I won.

*sigh*...this is so lame...do I still have an audience?

Crazy as ever

Yesterday I saw three clients, signed Teddy up for summer school...he doesn't seem to give a poop that he's going to spend 4 weeks (in July), 2 hours a day, retaking math 10. He needs to pass...it's either that or he drops down to "Math Essentials" (10) for the first semester and then hopefully...hopefully..."Math Essentials" (11) in the second semester. Anyways...the point of my verbal diarrhea (sp?) is that I had to add that to my already packed agenda. Oh yeah...I was at an accounting seminar at 8:30 in the a.m. as well...downtown. I felt a little strange to see other parents there with their delinquent children, while I showed up on my own....such is life. I also had to fork over $100 as a book deposit and...oh yeah...they take their money right away.

Today I managed to do a bunch of data-entry....you have no idea how fast my fingers can fly! Lunches, dinner and of course...Aleks' year-end guitar recital...could not be more proud...course you're gonna have to wait for that one. I also managed 30 fricken cupcakes...Krystina's birthday is on Sunday, of course school is already over and she really wanted to celebrate with her class-mates...that's where the cupcakes came into play...and yuck...I don't buy those "pre-made" ones. I also got a call from my fil..."where are you? are you coming?" I assured him I was...but not until tomorrow. He needs milk...and apparently...a leg amputation...according to him.

We have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Krystina has had rubber bands on two of her back molars since last Thursday. She made the big step to agree to getting help with her "thumb sucking" problem. Tomorrow she'll have a mold made and new bands put in. Two weeks later (and $700) she'll have a most hideous "appliance" inserted and cemented in to her mouth.....which should curb her nasty thumb sucking habit and....hopefully drop those front teeth down. Doing this will not guarantee that she won't need braces later...but hopefully it'll prevent her from having her jaw broken and re-arranged. It's been a little traumatic at this household as of late.

So there you go...many things on the go...may new opportunities...lots to smile at and be thankful for.

Time to relax...just a little.

First performance

You'll have to forgive the blurriness....we were 20 rows up and it was dark, but it's still a "smile maker"!...at least in my opinion. Try and figure out which one Krystina is.

"Operator" to be released in a week....I can only upload one a week. And I think Operator is slightly better...

Okay...here you go....

Krystina had her year-end dance performance last night....the final one will be tonight...which I actually get to watch this time. This was her in the car, in the parking lot of the dance studio.

Dressed up with her shades on....see that missing gap still between her teeth...that's a whole other post...one she's made us very proud of.

She had a blast. I was tired. 5 1/2 hours with 20 girls, 12 and under....an experience to say the least.

Won Ton's and Wine at 11 p.m.

I just endured sitting back-stage with about 20 girls, 12 and under from 5:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Now you know why I'm having the wine?! The Won Ton soup...because I hadn't had dinner.

Did you know that little girls have the stinkiest feet?! And they blow farts and walk around like nothing's happening?

Ahhhh....but they look tremendously cute with their eyelashes curled and lengthened...they're hair in buns and their lips in perfect pout! The giggles and the squiggles...the rush to get their next costume on and make it out the door with their hair still together.

Krystina had a blast. Two numbers tonight and another show tomorrow. This time though....I get to be in the audience.

I obviously live for punishment

My work load was starting to dwindle a tad and I was actually getting a little bit nervous, as my income is what keeps the kids clothed and in extra curricular activities. So almost within 30 seconds of spending a whopping $15 on 100 new business cards, I start getting e-mails and calls and invitations to "networking" lunches. Um yeah....I told my husband to hide any business cards that he had of mine and not dare hand any out. The wheels are spinning again.

Not to mention the fact that I have a friend who's joined a "mlm" group and is promoting the best skin care I know of. And then of course there's the Kyani idea as well....that I'm seriously going to take another look at, because I think the product really works and...if it's a benefit for other...it could be for me too. But I have to make sure that I'm not stuck in a rut with work first.

On another note....Teddy has managed to pass 3 of his four classes. Where a month and a half ago he was failing all...he has somehow managed to bring up his grades, by as much as 15%, simply by....handing in the work....no shit?! So the one class "math", will be retaken during the month of July (2 hours a day) and hopefully he'll grasp it and pass it as well. What I can't seem to understand though, is why he has to go in on Monday to write a "provincial exam" in math....when he's failed it. Is our education system as screwed as our justice system?!

It's gonna be a busy couple of days as Krystina's having her year-end dance recital tomorrow and Saturday. Apparently I need to learn how to make a bun out of her hair...this should be fun!

I've been sleeping rather "shitty" as of late...let's hope for a decent night tonight. And if those dogs (four of them) start up again tomorrow at 6 a.m., there will be some serious bullets flying. I am totally kidding about that....wouldn't want PETA to come after me!

Still stitched

So I went to go and get my stitches out this afternoon. The doctor took a look at my owie and said, "yeah...everything looks good...we're going to go ahead and remove the stitches". He proceeded to remove one and he says..."um no...we're not quite ready". So I'm left with two stitches (instead of three) a bunch of tape and go back in two more weeks. And still no leg workouts.

It's going to rain tonight. Finally.

My dog didn't puke today.

I went to my first "networking" luncheon. Something might just come out of it.

I'm hot and I'm cold....no, I'm not related to Katie Perry...I think it's menopause...or panic that the kids are home for the summer.

I need a brake job, a hair job and a house clean.

So be it...it's my life...normal as ever.

Oh all kinds of goodies!

So tomorrow is Teddy's last day of school, well....1/2 day of school. With a whole lot of luck and miracleness....he will have just passed his courses...all but one...which he's already signed up for summer school. Now if he actually passes these other course....it seriously will be a "miracle". Just three weeks ago, he was failing each and every class. Where have I gone wrong? Well two hours a day of one subject for 6 weeks, during this glorious weather...should straighten him out...right?...please tell me so!

Tomorrow I also get my stitches out.

Tomorrow I attend a "networking lunch". Why? Because apparently I still don't have enough to do!?

I think I have almost recovered from my Saturday night escapade. 42 going on 24.

Tony has busted another tooth...on a cherry...not mine....a real one....he will be getting another crown.

My van needs to go in for an overhaul.

Aleks told me tonight....he has a field trip tomorrow...and needs $10. I'll find out about his wedding the night before as well.

I'm still finding time to "scrapbook"....well I just started...but you should see what I've done!

Kyani is making me feel good.

I'm going to the gym tomorrow....after the stitches come out...provided I don't pass out....as I have a tendency to do so.

If my dog pukes one more time...she's off to the vet. Any idea why dogs eat grass?

And now...time to catch up on my sleep.

250 perogies and an ab workout at 3 a.m.

So my sister and I spent the afternoon/evening together yesterday making cabbage rolls and perogies.....lots and lots of cabbage rolls and perogies. Oh and...drinking wine...but of course. Krystina came to spend time with her cousin and we had a great time...maybe too good of a time....we'll leave the "ab workout at 3 a.m" to your imagination...silly girls who had wayyy too much to drink. The perogies turned out great, although I'm wondering if my sister thought it was about "how they looked" as opposed to about "how good they taste"! ;o) She made some very beautiful perogies indeed. We talked, we laughed, she made me feel good about my decisions...she always inspires me. I don't think her husband (my bil) appreciated the giggling phone call at 3 a.m. though.....but then again....he should have expected it.

Well it was 4 a.m. by the time we finally crashed and we were abruptly awoken at 9:30, sooo.....I'm going to go sleep for a week.

It's always worth the effort......

.....when a client appreciates your patience, in his delay in paying your invoice....and then adds $100!

Yay me!

Repetition

Hi.

I'm here to tell you nothing new.

I'm here to tell you that I'm just as busy as ever, I've got all kinds of things on the go, and that life is pretty good right about now.

The days have been filled with warmth and sunshine. Everyone's health is stable. Sore is healing. I've just added another two clients to my repetoire. I am finding time to include photo taking here and there. I'm even crafting to a point. The gym has had to wait...until my stitches come out, but I did manage an upper workout this week. My freezer (and my sister's) will be full come this Saturday evening with cabbage rolls, meat balls and perogies...all made by us. Let's just hope we finishing the cooking before all the wine runs dry! Today I will be bottling 60 bottles of wine and Tony will be bottling 90 on the weekend....I think we'll be good now until....next month *ahem*, next year.

So yeah....all is good.

Healing

Um yeah...I just had to share. This is 5 days post slice. I'd say we're healing nicely.

It's been a crazy few days, so much to do, so much to finish...all is good though.

Tony and I have decided to seriously look into "non drug therapy" for ADD and our eldest child. We've left it far too long....better late than never, right? We are completely opposed to feeding drugs to Teddy....there's gotta be a better, more natural approach. I've started some research and am going to visit a few natural health food stores to see what they can suggest. It's become far too obvious that he really does need some sort of intervention.

On a different note....no, that's not the moon....it's the sun, last night. There's a crazy assed forest fire burning a few hundred kilometres from here (6,000 hectares worth) and it's actually filtered itself down here to the "city". The fire...I believe....was caused by an irresponsible camper.

Spoke too soon

I should've known better. I should've known when the doctor told me that I could Extra Tylenol for the pain and then quickly asked me..."or would you like a prescription for something stronger?". I...being the tough cookie that I am....said, "oh no, I've had three kids....I'll be fine"...and I was...until 8:00 p.m. The freezing has worn off, I'm bleeding and now bruising and basically...want some good ole Tylenol 3's....of which I don't have....so I'll have a glass of wine.

It's an awful picture...makes my leg look fat...which it is not! I have a scratch from rubbing my leg against a concrete pad.

Well since the photo was taken the bandage has no white showing, and there's bruising creeping in near the bottom. And it hurts like hell! Oh and the little bandage on my pinky....um yeah...I tore part of my nail off my nail bed. I'm a wreck and should just stay in bed!

Time for a flower

Kyani

So a while back I was reading a post by Intelligent Poison (see the link over on the side) and he was all excited about this new product he came across that promotes better health. Of course I'm always wanting to achieve better health....what with sore knees, high stress levels, high blood pressure, major demands....I don't always eat or sleep great. And yes....I'd like to live longer than 52 years. So I kept reading and I asked and I checked out the Kyani web-site, read the testimonials etc. and decided to give it a try.

I've been taking the Kyani now for around 2 1/2 weeks and here's what I've noticed so far (and no....I'm not being paid or receiving any perks to say anything about the product....just letting you know); my energy level is "slightly" better (but hey, I have to give it a bit longer considering all the crap I do/go through); I'm sleeping better (except for my nightly peep to the washroom....but I've done that for 8 years); my knees are feeling stronger (of course now I have to back off the exercise again for a couple of weeks....*grrrrr*); and the last significant thing I've noticed is that my thoughts are clearer. Seriously....not a day would go by where I'd forget what I went down the stairs for (as soon as I got to the bottom), or even forgot important time-line duties for my clients. I'm feeling and thinking sharper and where I was forgetting things for the kids....I've got it all clear again.

If you take the interest to look at the site/product (and you should), don't be set back by the fact that it appears to be network marketing....take a look at the product and what people (myself included) are saying about it. I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to all kinds of "claim to fame" products but I'm giving this one a huge shot, because I can definitely see/feel a difference.

Anyways....I'll report back in a couple of months and let you all know how I'm doing at that point.

Survived

Well I just popped the first of 28 antibiotic pills. The doctor decided only to remove one lump....the one in my leg. After looking at the second lump (in my abdomen) he decided he wanted to have an ultrasound done first...rather then add more stitches to my ever stitched body (I'm going to look like Raggedy Ann pretty soon).

So yeah....a wash, some iodine, a few needles, a slice, some pulling, some scraping, some cutting, some stitching and a waterproof bandage....I'm done. No exercise for 2 weeks! I look at the doctor as he tells me this and respond with "You're kidding me?!?!? Just when I get back into a routine again!! You people just don't want me to work out, do you?" It's because the stitches are on my leg, he doesn't want me to pop them open.

Well another chapter in my medical history closes.

Bear with me...

....I just spent the evening watching a "beginner band" in a gymnasium filled with 300 people...and was sure to be 100 degrees. I just about died...as did others.

But Al and his "sax" group did a great jazzy tune and it was well worth the butt sweat.

Apparently it's supposed to cool down on Friday?!?!?

Until then....I'm home tomorrow morning...until 1:15 ish...and then it's *slice* *slice* *stitch* *stitch*.

This week

Yesterday I went to my clients as usual, and then to another clients'...and then to the gym....and then heated myself up even a little more over a hot oven. Today I went to meet up with a client, who happens to be a good friend of a "mom" at the school...so I guess I was responsible for a bit of a "reunion" of sorts...and perhaps a new partnership business venture (for the two of them). I also dealt with Teddy and his braces....he lost an entire wire (straight across his bottom teeth) on Sunday when he bit into an apple. Watered the garden/flowers because....well it's been scorching here. Tomorrow it's a "work at home" day along with a visit to my fil. Thursday I'll work until 1:30 and then it's off to the hospital to get those two lumps removed. Friday will be mellow....but I will go and help a friend with some laptop issues. Yes!...."me"....computer problems....I'll be there to help. Let's just hope I don't screw it up....nah...in this case, I'll know what I'm doing.

On another note....I've been totally bitchy today. Maybe it's the heat. Maybe it's hormones. I don't usually get like this but....I'm a bit of a grump today.

But I did get my "package". And that....I will write about tomorrow!

I'm here

Trying to get my act together. Spending a little more time on Flickr these days....check it out. I'm here. Will be here. Be patient. I've learned to be.
